Job summary

Influential Search, LLC is seeking a Director of Finance Systems and Automation for a high-growth client in San Francisco. This hands-on role blends finance expertise with technology, leading systems transformation across Finance and Accounting while partnering with engineering to build AI-powered tools that streamline day-to-day workflows.

You’ll own initiatives from planning through testing and launch, enhance ERP integrations, and deploy AI-driven automation for reconciliations, close tasks,

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of combined experience across accounting/finance operations and systems, including ownership of implementations or transformation projects.
• Hands-on experience building or deploying AI tools, agents, or workflow automation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes and the ability to identify practical automation opportunities.
• Experience partnering with engineers on integrations and internal tools.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems and automation initiatives from planning through testing, training, and launch.
• Improve ERP functionality and integrations across finance applications and internal tools.
• Build and deploy AI-driven automation for reconciliations, close tasks, journal entry preparation, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Translate accounting and finance needs into technical requirements.
• Strengthen documentation, controls, and adoption as the business scales.
