Job summary

Franklin Templeton seeks a senior leader to build an internal AI community and open-source-style reuse ecosystem. You will define platform governance, contribution models, and reproducible patterns, while driving adoption across teams.

The role demands expertise in InnerSource, developer platform strategy, and cross-functional influence to turn sharing into a valued practice across the enterprise. Hybrid work with NYC/San Ramon offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in inner-source or open-source program leadership.
• Strong understanding of software engineering workflows, source code control, code review, documentation, release practices.
• Experience creating governance models that improve quality and trust without excessive bureaucracy.
• Ability to influence senior leaders, HR partners, platform teams, security/risk partners, and individual contributors.

Responsibilities

• Specify and build the internal open-source mechanism for AI assets, including source code control, contribution workflows, and release practices.
• Create a searchable and trusted repository of AI software components, agent skills, prompts, workflows, and reusable patterns.
• Establish a sandbox environment where practitioners can safely explore reusable AI components before production use.
• Design and operate an AI-driven intake that maps business needs to assets, maintainers, and reuse paths.
• Build and manage the community forum, channels, office hours, showcases, and onboarding pathways.
• Drive early adoption via pilots, executive sponsorship, storytelling, and recognition of contributors.
• Curate contributions to keep the platform useful, navigable, and current.
• Collaborate with HR and leaders to craft incentives and career signals for contribution and mentorship.
• Develop a craft-focused community connecting practitioners across teams.
• Measure adoption, reuse, contributor health, asset quality, and engagement.
