Franklin Templeton is seeking an AI/ML Lead Engineer to design and implement agents for financial advisors, leveraging client data and portfolio performance to generate insights for portfolios and across an advisor book of business. You will be part of Franklin Templeton's AI platform team, delivering capabilities that reach advisors and clients worldwide, at the intersection of AI and asset management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with production AI/LLM systems.
• Experience with multi-step agent workflows and frameworks like LangChain.
• Expert-level Python and distributed systems experience.
• Hands-on with vector databases (Pinecone/FAISS) and RAG/data grounding.
• Experience implementing observability and fault-tolerant systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade multi-agent systems.
• Build agent workflows with context, tool calls, and compliance checks.
• Develop distributed services with strong observability and fault tolerance.
• Ensure data grounding and memory management for agents.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to translate requirements into robust architecture.
• Optimize systems for latency, cost, and reliability.
