Job summary

FranklinCovey in the United States is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering to lead the engineering teams building our learner and enterprise platforms and evolving AI experiences. You will set an architecture vision across platforms, guide AI and data execution, and grow the engineering managers and teams who report to you.

You will partner with Product, Design, Client Success, Sales, IT, and Cloud Ops to keep technology aligned with strategy, while delivering reliable systems, scalable AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, technology delivery or other related experience
• 5+ years leading managers and multi‑team programs

Responsibilities

• Own the cross‑platform architecture strategy.
• Define domain ownership, decision rights, and technical guardrails for clarity and accountability.
• Own the engineering integration of AI into customer‑facing platforms, including architecture, security, and governance.
• Directly manage and grow engineering managers and individual contributors, coaching careers and performance.
