Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Senior Actuary to lead the Capital Forecasting team within Enterprise Risk Management for Property & Casualty. You will connect underwriting performance, pricing and capital metrics to enterprise business decisions, partnering with Finance, Risk Management and business leaders to turn complex insights into actionable targets.

This role can be staffed fully remote, offering broad exposure across Finance, Actuarial, Risk Management, and senior leadership as you help update

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of P&C actuarial experience.
• Strong understanding of pricing, reserving, loss-ratio analysis and profitability.
• FCAS preferred; equivalent actuarial/financial-risk experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior P&C actuarial expert for target returns and capital analytics.
• Enhance capital monitoring and reporting framework for deployment decisions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Risk Management and business leaders to set granular targets.
• Review assumptions, methodologies and performance; recommend changes as needed.
• Analyze loss-ratio history, reserving triangles, pricing and capital data.
• Document data sources and present recommendations to senior audiences.
