Job summary

UPMC, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, invites applications for a Pathologist in the Head and Neck Pathology Center of Excellence. The successful candidate will join a four-pathologist team, with subspecialty training and academic interest in head and neck surgical pathology.

The position is based at UPMC Presbyterian-Shadyside Hospitals, with opportunities for translational research, mentorship, and leadership in diagnostic and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and board certification in Anatomic Pathology.
• Subspecialty training and academic interest in Head and Neck Pathology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Commitment to scholarly activities and publications.

Responsibilities

• Sign out surgical pathology cases as needed and provide leadership within the Head and Neck Pathology COE.
• Mentor and teach Head and Neck Pathology fellows and residents.
• Engage in translational pathology projects using imaging, molecular, and digital pathology resources.
• Participate in research initiatives and program development for the COE and related disciplines.
