Job summary

UPMC Southwestern PA is seeking a Pathologist in the Head and Neck Pathology Center of Excellence (COE). The appointment is in an academic clinical track with subspecialty training and a strong research emphasis in head and neck pathology.

The successful candidate will lead translational pathology efforts, mentor fellows and residents, and sign out surgical cases as needed while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams at UPMC.

Qualifications

• Must have an M.D./D.O. and board certification in Anatomic Pathology with specialty training and academic interest in head and neck pathology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
• A record of scholarly activity and publications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Sign out surgical pathology cases as needed.
• Lead and mentor Head and Neck pathology fellows and residents.
• Provide leadership and guidance to develop and leverage diagnostic and research initiatives.
