UPMC Southwestern PA seeks a Pathologist for the Head and Neck Pathology Center of Excellence. The role is in an academic clinical track and requires subspecialty training and scholarly focus in Head and Neck Surgical Pathology.

The position is based at UPMC Presbyterian-Shadyside, offering opportunities for translational research, digital pathology, and collaboration with oncology groups while mentoring fellows and residents.

Qualifications

• Must have an M.D./DO and Board certified in Anatomic Pathology with specialty training and academic interest in thoracic pathology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
• A good record of and commitment to scholarly activities and publications.

Responsibilities

• Sign out surgical pathology cases, as needed.
• Mentor and teach Head and Neck Pathology fellows and pathology residents.
• Participate in research initiatives and translational pathology projects.
• Lead and participate in COE-specific meetings and multidisciplinary head and neck programs.
• Represent the department nationally and internationally.
• Provide leadership and guidance to develop diagnostic and research initiatives.
