Job summary

UPMC is recruiting for a Pathologist in the Head and Neck Pathology Center of Excellence (COE) within the Division of Anatomic Pathology. The appointment is in the academic clinical track with subspecialty training and a strong academic interest in Head and Neck Surgical Pathology.

The Head and Neck COE processes over 3,500 cases yearly and collaborates with medical oncology and related groups. It offers a fellowship program and opportunities for translational pathology leadership and research

Qualifications

• Must have an M.D./DO and Board certified in Anatomic Pathology with specialty training and academic interest in thoracic pathology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
• A good record of and commitment to scholarly activities and publications.

Responsibilities

• Sign out surgical pathology cases, as needed.
• Mentor and teach Head and Neck Pathology fellows and Pathology residents.
• Participate in research initiatives, as needed.
• Be aligned, participate and work towards deliverance of the mission and goals of the Dept.
• Work closely with the Head and Neck COE Director related to service roles and participation in COE operations.
