Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Office Assistance or equivalent clinical admin experience.
• At least one year of full-time administrative support in a clinical setting with medical terminology.
• Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate plus one year of relevant experience.
• Two years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and assist patients and visitors.
• Manage clinic schedules and record physician orders accurately.
• Guide patients through visits and handle co-pay collections.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Education

Medical Office Assistant Associate’s degree; or

Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology

High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of one year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology

High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology

High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park)
