Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is hiring a Clinical Center Associate Trainee/Associate I in the Ambulatory Services - Leukemia department. The role supports patient care by handling administrative duties, scheduling, and front-desk tasks in a fast-paced cancer center environment.

The position offers on-site work with a starting salary in the upper $30k to mid $40k range, plus comprehensive benefits. Training is provided to grow into a full Clinical Center Associate role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with one year of full-time customer service experience.
• Medical Office Assistant certificate or related program is acceptable for I level.
• Associate’s degree with relevant administrative experience in a clinical setting.
• Degrees must be from an accredited institution as stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Answer phone calls and respond to routine questions.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and maintaining clinic calendars.
• Support patient registration and visit preparation activities.
• Collect and process patient co-payments when applicable.
• Record and transcribe physician orders as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient and clinic records.
• Coordinate administrative activities supporting daily clinic operations.
• Work closely with nurses, physicians, and team members to ensure seamless care.
• Protect patient privacy and handle confidential information appropriately.
