Job summary

Datavant seeks an HCC Auditor to review coded medical records, ensuring accurate representation of patient conditions for risk adjustment and reimbursement. You will translate clinical documentation into precise codes reflecting health status.

You will audit charts per client guidelines, switch between guideline sets, and maintain a high-quality standard. The role includes weekly project reviews and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2 years HCC coding experience.
• 2 years HCC auditing experience.
• Extensive ICD-10 knowledge.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• AHIMA or AAPC credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, CRC).
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Audit coded charts per client guidelines.
• Move between different client guideline sets with ease.
• Maintain 95% quality at the diagnosis level.
• Respond to rebuttals from coders/auditors.
• Participate in weekly coding project review meetings.
• Handle other tasks assigned by the quality supervisor.
