Job summary

Republic Services in Greensboro, NC is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class A trucks, including roll-offs and tankers. The role involves 3-4 overnight shifts per week and occasional weekends, with a focus on safety, DOT compliance, and customer service.

The position requires a valid Class A CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements or the ability to obtain them within 90 days, and completion of 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

Qualifications

• A valid Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Must pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and box trucks.
• Perform LTL pickups and ensure proper loading and securing of hazardous waste.
• Maintain logs, permits, trip reports, and waste manifests per DOT regulations.
• Comply with DOT hazmat transport rules, placarding, load segregation, and labeling.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and proper service.
