Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician in the United States. The role involves transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste with various trailers, including roll-offs and tankers, on a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• A valid class A CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• MVR must meet Company policy standards.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training on hire date.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and various trailer types.
• Perform LTL pickups and maintain driver documentation such as logs and manifests.
• Adhere to DOT regulations for hazmat packaging, loading, labeling and segregation.
• Understand state weight limit laws and drive in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and use company mobile tools as assigned.
• Interact professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in lab pack and field service projects as needed.
• Participate in Site Safety program and related training.
