Job summary

Nel Hydrogen, a global leader in on-site hydrogen generation, seeks a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator in Wallingford, CT to ensure the efficient flow of materials, coordinate shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work with Customer Service, Purchasing, logistics partners, and warehouse staff to receive, store, and ship materials on time, while leveraging ERP systems and Microsoft Office to maintain precise records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (GED) or associate degree.
• 2-4 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• DOT Hazmat Ground Certification.
• IATA Hazardous Goods Air Shipper Certification.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments to ensure materials are received, stored, and delivered safely, accurately, and on time.
• Pick, pack, label, and stage materials while ensuring all required shipping documentation is complete and accurate.
• Schedule carriers, manage dock activities, and process shipping transactions within the ERP system.
• Generate shipping labels, export documentation, and maintain accurate records to support compliance and audits.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Purchasing, and warehouse teams to resolve shortages and support efficient material flow.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving, documentation, storage, and material handling practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable shipping, hazardous materials, and workplace safety regulations.
• Operate material handling equipment and support a safe, organized, and continuously improving warehouse environment through 6S practices.
