Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services in New Jersey is seeking a safety‑driven CDL driver to join our team. You will operate heavy equipment, deliver materials, and support emergency response and remediation projects on site.

Applicants must hold a Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, comply with DOT/FMCSA rules, complete 40‑hour HAZWOPER, and pass pre‑employment screenings. This on‑site role requires long hours and occasional weekend shifts. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Current Commercial Driver License, Class A preferred.
Hazmat and Tanker endorsement, required.
40-hour HAZWOPER required.
2–5 years of heavy equipment driving and operation experience required.
1–5 years of hazardous waste control and environmental services industry experience preferred.
All applicants must pass pre-employment requirements (drug/alcohol screening, background check).

Responsibilities

Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following safe work practices and policies.
Drive and operate heavy equipment including 50/70 Barrel Vacuum and Single Roll-Off Trucks.
Make deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
Prepare Haz-Mat and Non-Haz manifests.
Maintain DOT, FMCSA, daily ELD logs, timesheets and vehicle inspections.
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of vehicles.
Handle housekeeping and custodial duties as required.
Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on standby.
Work long hours and overtime, including days, nights or weekends.
Comply with Random Drug Testing program and other directives.
