Job summary

Veolia in North America is hiring for a position responsible for routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks, including movement of solids and liquids at a New Jersey facility. The role supports loading/unloading, container handling, and transport within the site, following safety guidelines.

The position operates on a 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM shift, requiring attention to documentation, housekeeping, and compliance with RCRA disposal rules. 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate through reading and writing.
• Trained in the use of material handling equipment.
• Forklift operation knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers).
• Construct boxes and/or fiber containers and stacks, labels, and loads containers.
• Use tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc.
• Transport hazardous waste materials between storage facilities within the facility.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to guidelines.
• Complete paperwork for material processing and transportation.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Inspect material handling equipment as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
