Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Safety-minded Material Handler to perform routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks, including loading and unloading containers and assisting with decontamination operations. Under supervision, you will help move solids and liquids and ensure proper handling and disposal.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, packing and repacking materials, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while following RCRA guidelines and documenting all activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–6 months in hazardous waste or chemical industry preferred.
• Proficiency in handling forklifts and tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers of varying sizes.
• Construct and label containers and stacks.
• Transport hazardous waste within the facility as directed.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums per guidelines.
• Complete paperwork for material processing and transport.
