Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking Environmental Technicians to support the Safe and compliant management of hazardous waste. You will consolidate, treat, store, transport and/or dispose of hazardous materials following regulations and company policies, while handling containers with forklifts and completing required paperwork.

The role requires physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, outdoors in varied climates, and adherence to PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (required).
• Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.
• Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception for forklift operation.
• Hearing vehicle alarms and chimes.
• Work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled areas.
• Willingness to wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toe shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste per regulations.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely per customer policies.
• Operate forklift and move containers to storage and treatment areas and to load/unload trailers.
