Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a second shift hazardous and non-hazardous waste technician to support movement of solids and liquids. You will work with containers, perform cleanup tasks, and operate material handling equipment with minimal supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma and basic reading/writing skills, plus forklift/handling training. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and 401(k) eligibility.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing ability required for documentation.
• Trained in material handling equipment and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers, etc.).
• Construct boxes and/or fiber containers and stacks, labels, and loads containers.
• Use tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc.
• Transport hazardous waste materials within the facility as directed.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and containers per guidelines.
• Complete paperwork for processing materials and transport to locations.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Inspect material handling equipment as directed.
• Load/unload at designated sites with appropriate equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
