Job summary

Veolia, collaborating with Clean Earth, seeks a Waste Processing Team Lead to supervise and support Environmental Technicians in Hazardous Waste operations, ensuring safe, compliant handling and documentation.

Under guidance, you will train staff, manage projects from receipt to settlement, perform on-site testing, maintain records, and uphold federal, state, and local permits while maintaining safety as a top priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience with hazardous waste preferred.
• Completion of 40 hours OSHA training with 8-hour refresher preferred.
• Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Segregate and package material for transport and complete required paperwork per regulations and policies.
• Oversee technicians and large projects from receipt to settlement.
• Collect samples and perform onsite testing for unknown materials.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local permits.
• Provide training on equipment operation and paperwork.
• Operate forklift and other heavy equipment when trained.
• Maintain operational documentation including reports, licenses, DOT requirements, and orders.
