Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Waste Processing Team Lead to support an Environmental Technicians team at our Providence facility. Under guidance of the Waste Processing Supervisor, you will oversee routine manual and heavy labor tasks and ensure hazardous waste is consolidated, treated and disposed of safely and in compliance with regulations and company policies.

You will train Technicians, ensure accurate recordkeeping, and coordinate with management on facility needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with hazardous waste preferred.
• Completion of 40 hours OSHA training with 8-hour refresher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Segregate and package material for transport and complete paperwork per regulations and policies.
• Oversee a team of technicians and manage large projects from receipt to settlement.
• Collect inbound waste samples and perform onsite testing for unknown materials.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local permit requirements.
• Provide training and coaching to technicians on equipment operation and processes.
