Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a Hazardous Waste Operations Supervisor for our Greater Austin Area, Taylor, TX client site. The role requires hands-on leadership of bulk tanker loading, strict safety, and regulatory compliance, with oversight of scheduling, staff, and documentation in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in bulk or hazardous waste transfer, tanker operations, or related field.
• Experience supervising technicians and coordinating schedules and logistics.
• Firm understanding of RCRA, DOT, and other hazardous waste regulations.
• Hazardous materials handling including manifests and shipping docs.
• Experience with tankers, pumps, hoses, and vacuum trucks.
• OSHA 40-hour training.
• Willing to work overtime and nights/weekends.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Reliable transportation.
• Consent to screening and drug tests.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Wear Respirator / SCBA as needed.
• Schedule/coordinate bulk tanker shipments with drivers and customers.
• Supervise field technicians on tanker loading.
• Ensure safe, efficient loading per SOPs and DOT/RCRA.
• Check tankers, hoses, and washout needs.
• Create and review waste shipment manifests.
• Perform air monitoring and use gas meters.
• Communicate shipment status and scheduling changes to staff and customers.
• Oversee site safety, PPE compliance, and spill readiness.
• Manage profitability and efficiency of loading assignments.
• Monitor material/tanker compatibility and stop unsafe work.
• Role involves hazardous chemicals and safety-sensitive work.
