Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental, a leading environmental services firm, seeks a Hazardous Waste Operations Supervisor for our Greater Austin Area, Texas team. The role requires hands-on supervision of bulk tanker loading, safety-minded leadership, and strong organizational skills for scheduling, staff, and documentation in a fast-paced field environment.

The position is located at a client site in Taylor, TX, with responsibilities spanning safety oversight, regulatory compliance, and efficient

Qualifications

• Experience in bulk or hazardous waste transfer, tanker operations, or related field.
• Experience supervising technicians and coordinating schedules and logistics.
• Understanding of RCRA, DOT, and other regulations for hazardous waste and materials.
• Hazardous materials handling, including manifests and shipping docs.
• Experience with tankers, pumps, hoses, and vacuum truck equipment.
• OSHA 40-hour training.
• Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety procedures and regulations, including PPE use.
• Wear a Respirator / SCBA.
• Schedule and coordinate bulk tanker shipments and onsite drivers.
• Directly supervise field technicians performing tanker loading operations.
• Ensure safe and efficient tanker loading per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Verify equipment compatibility and washout requirements.
• Create and review waste shipment manifests.
• Perform air monitoring and use gas meters.
• Communicate shipment status and changes to staff and customers.
• Oversee job site safety, PPE compliance, and spill-response readiness.
• Manage profitability and efficiency of loading assignments.
• Monitor transfers and stop work if conditions are unsafe.
• Role involves hazardous chemicals and waste handling and is safety-sensitive.
