Clean Harbors in Whistler / Mobile AL is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety conscious team, active in the field, responsible for hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. This role requires 100% travel and on-call emergency response, with attendance at a two-week paid academy training (expenses covered by the company).

Qualifications

• Emergency response duties may require extended shifts.
• On-call rotations every other week.
• Requires ability to perform strenuous physical work.
• Complete background check and drug test.
• Respiratory protection standards compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety as the top priority.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools.
• Work in various weather and site conditions.
• Assist in field sampling and meter calibration.
• Hold on-call for emergency response on rotating schedule.
• Comply with DOT and safety guidelines.
• Safely load/unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
