Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Field Chemist to sort and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials, ensuring safety and compliance in all processes for customers.

You’ll report to the Field Office and travel to projects regionally, returning to the office at day’s end. The role requires an associates degree (bachelors preferred), 2+ years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license with Hazmat endorsement within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Hazmat within 6 months of hire.
• Must pass Motor Vehicle Record per company standards.
• Due to exposure to materials, the role requires clean-shaven appearance for respirator use.

Responsibilities

• Sort and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Ensure compatibility and safety in all processes.
• Travel to project sites; report back to the office daily.
• Assist in packaging, labeling, and paperwork for transportation.
• Maintain safe practices and effective customer communication on site.
• Support field technicians and drivers as needed.
• Travel flexibility to support locations as required.
