Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Chemical Processing Operator I to handle, package, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in full compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role collaborates with TSDF Technicians across warehouses, plants, and outdoor settings.

You will prepare shipping documents, manage waste inventories, and mentor entry-level chemists on SOPs while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA and OSHA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle, classify, segregate, label, and package hazardous and non-hazardous materials per federal and state rules.
• Segregate chemicals by compatibility and DOT Hazard class; perform bulking and repackaging safely.
• Prepare shipping documents and coordinate transportation of chemicals and waste; manage inventory and QA/QC.
• Mentor new hires on SOPs and provide initial training; maintain waste tracking records.
