Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Chemical Processing Operator I to handle, package, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in full compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role collaborates with TSDF Technicians in warehouses, plants, and outdoor settings.

You will prepare shipping documents, coordinate transportation, and mentor new hires on SOPs while supporting waste disposal and QA/QC processes in a dynamic facility environment.

Qualifications

• 0 - 2 years of overall relevant work experience.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
• Knowledge of applicable DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations preferred.
• Ability to wear and safely use PPE, including respirators.

Responsibilities

• Handle, classify, segregate, label, and package hazardous and non-hazardous materials per regulations.
• Prepare shipping documents and coordinate transportation of chemical products and hazardous waste.
• Mentor new hire chemists on SOPs and provide initial training.
• Maintain waste tracking documents and QA/QC records; support final disposition facility protocols.
