The ideal candidate is licensed in Hawaii, organized, and capable of managing a heavy workload. Because the headquarters is in New York, you will coordinate with the main office remotely via telephone and email, with occasional travel for court

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Hawaii.
• 1 year of relevant law firm experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in legal research; LexisNexis a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy, diversified caseload in Hawaii.
• Communicate with clients regarding their matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Conduct legal research on contract and consumer-law issues.
• Travel for in-court appearances as needed.
