Job summary

GALLO is offering a Harvest Laboratory Internship in California. Interns will work onsite during the harvest season (June–October, 2027) and gain hands-on experience across production, laboratory, and winemaking teams.

You will assist in lab blends, run fining trials, and analyze grapes, juice, and wine to support quality control. The program emphasizes collaboration, learning, and contribution through a final project, with diverse backgrounds encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college/university or held a Bachelor’s degree in allowed majors.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle if applicable.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs and climb stairs/ladders as required.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist in lab blends and fining trials.
• Monitor wine health and perform sampling in the analytical lab.
• Conduct analyses of grapes, juice, and wine (yeast, bacteria, Brix, Alcohol, pH, TA, SO2, RS, ML, VA, NH3, NOPA).
• Sample tanks and barrels to monitor fermentations and ensure high quality wines.
• Complete a project to showcase your skills during the internship.
