Job summary

GALLO is seeking a Harvest Laboratory Intern for the 2027 harvest in Healdsburg. You will collaborate with production, laboratory and winemaking teams to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced wine environment.

You’ll perform grape, juice and wine analyses, assist in blends and fining trials, monitor fermentations, and complete a project showcasing your skills and insights. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Agriculture, Sciences, or Engineering (specific majors listed).
Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record, with access to reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and climb stairs/ ladders safely during shifts.

Responsibilities

Assist in lab blends and fining trials during harvest season.
Monitor wine health and perform sampling for analyses.
Analyze grapes, juice and wine for key metrics (yeast, bacteria, Brix, pH, TA, SO2, RS, VA, NH3, NOPA).
Sample tanks and barrels to monitor fermentations and ensure quality.
