Job summary

GALLO is offering a six-month internship across winemaking, research winemaking, spirits distillation, and enology research in California. You will work with experienced winemakers and researchers, gain hands-on training, monitor fermentations, assist with bench and plant-scale trials, and contribute to data collection and reporting.

Placement opportunities span Modesto, Fresno, Livingston, Healdsburg, and other CA sites, with a focus on practical learning, sensory evaluation, and

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a college/university for Bachelor's or Master's degree, or recent degree in Life Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, or Engineering.
• Availability to commit to the full duration of the internship (July–December 2027).
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record; travel up to 10% may be required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; ability to lift up to 40 lbs; willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist winemaking activities including product evaluations, fermentation monitoring, and sensory evaluation.
• Support small-lot research wines and commercially produced wines, including data collection and documentation.
• Assist with enology research projects, infer data analysis and reporting, and participate in tastings and evaluations.
