Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Maintenance Harvest Supervisor to lead the Maintenance Department on the harvest floor, offal, hot boxes and cattle pens. The role focuses on maintaining asset health via an effective maintenance program and cross-functional teamwork with operations, safety, and food safety.

The supervisor will manage breakdowns, preventative maintenance, predictive technologies, and day-to-day work orders while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Educational background in mechanical or engineering technology with a diploma or degree.
• Millwright and/or Electrician license (or equivalent) is an asset.
• Three years supervision experience in a process manufacturing facility preferred.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, TPM, etc.).
• Experience driving preventative maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises plant maintenance personnel and plans, leads, organizes, and coordinates all work requirements.
• Provide immediate response to operational maintenance concerns and coordinate with operations.
• Maintain accurate records of management, operations and maintenance.
• Supervise repairs/projects and ensure quality and deadlines.
• Plan and control expenditures in line with the department budget.
• Maintain safety, health and environmental policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
