Job summary

Community Access seeks a Harm Reduction Specialist to engage residents using a non-judgmental harm reduction approach and provide individual and group support. The role includes staff training, program leadership, and collaboration with the Harm Reduction Committee to advance service delivery.

You will facilitate groups, conduct trainings, ensure timely documentation, and coordinate with housing programs to support residents moving toward stable community living.

Qualifications

• Understanding and commitment to harm reduction and recovery-oriented services.
• Ability to train and support staff and program participants in harm reduction approaches.
• Minimum of a high school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years working with homelessness, substance use, or mental health populations.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents using harm reduction approaches and provide non-judgmental support.
• Lead and facilitate harm reduction groups and workshops (minimum four per month).
