Job summary

Healthcare Alternative Systems (HAS) in Chicago, IL seeks a Harm Reduction Coordinator – Lead to plan, coordinate, and implement harm reduction services across HAS locations. You will engage individuals with opioid use disorder, build partnerships, and coordinate Narcan distribution and syringe exchange referrals.

The role includes data reporting, staff supervision, and outreach to community resources, with emphasis on education and program development in a multicultural setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field required.
• At least two years of counseling experience in substance abuse/mental health.
• Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Valid State Driver's License and ability to use personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement Harm Reduction services at HAS.
• Engage individuals with OUD and link to prevention, treatment, and harm reduction services.
• Develop partnerships with harm reduction stakeholders and treatment providers.
• Coordinate Narcan/Naloxone distribution and syringe exchange referrals.
• Track and report HRC outcomes data to supervisor/funder(s).
• Provide education on harm reduction to HAS participants, staff, and partners.
• Liaise with community resources and networks to support OUD clients.
• Supervise Harm Reduction staff and promote team cohesion.
