Job summary

Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time Outreach Coordinator for the Prevention Program. The role covers harm reduction outreach, rapid response efforts with EMS and ODMAP, and connecting individuals to OHL services and community resources.

The coordinator will maintain outreach calendars, document activities, and liaise with EMS and community partners while supporting program grant goals and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• At least 1 year of health education experience.
• Familiarity with the local community served by the agency.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be mobile and able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid response daily street outreach using EMS alert system and ODMAP.
• Correspond with EMS on overdose hotspots around the city.
• Represent the program and disseminate information about OHL services.
• Link community members to OHL treatment programs and resources.
• Maintain the outreach calendar and document outreach activities.
• Handle outreach phone calls and link clients to services.
• Explore and present potential partnerships to the Project Manager.
• Conduct research related to program grant goals.
• Attend meetings and adhere to program policies and HIPAA regulations.
