Job summary

AMD is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Verification Engineering intern/co-op in the United States. You will work 40 hours per week in a hybrid or onsite structure at San Jose or Santa Clara across multiple co-op/intern terms throughout 2027.

You’ll collaborate with senior engineers on verification plans, write scripts, run regression flows, and help debug and improve Verilog/system Verilog codes. This role not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a United States based University in a Bachelor's program majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience or knowledge in C/C++, Python, Perl, Shell, and UVM is desirable.
• Familiarity with Verilog/SystemVerilog and digital systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to build and complete performance verification test plans and models.
• Write scripts in Perl/Python to track compute resources.
• Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP to support development.
• Support debugging and improve test cases and Verilog/system Verilog coding.
• Build test platforms and perform system level testing.
