Job summary

AMD invites motivated students to join as a Hardware Design Verification intern/co-op. You will participate in design, build, and delivery of AMD’s high-end Machine Intelligence products, collaborating with senior engineers and designers to execute verification plans and test cases.

The role requires ongoing enrollment in a US-based university in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with familiarity in C++, Python, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a United States university pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in C++/Python/Perl/Shell/UVM and Verilog/SystemVerilog desirable.
• Solid understanding of digital systems and computer organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver AMD’s high-end Machine Intelligence hardware verification solutions.
• Write scripts to track and manage compute resources (Perl/Python).
• Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP to support project development.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and team efficiency.
• Assist debugging and improve test cases/models; support Verilog/systemVerilog coding.
• Build test platforms and perform system-level testing.
• Conduct production validation of hardware/software functionalities.
• Engage in low-level testing to identify root causes of issues.
