Job summary

Rural King Farm and Home Store is seeking a Department Lead to oversee a department's daily operations, including inventory management, pricing, merchandising, and customer service. You will ensure displays meet standards and support cross-functional teams.

The role requires retail experience, strong communication, adaptability, and a commitment to Rural King values. A 40-hour week with varied hours, including nights and weekends, is typical.

• At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of the department.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide and set displays per company standards.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels with regular stock counts.
• Oversee the recovery process to keep department neat and appealing.
• Coordinate price changes and update pricing labels and signage.
• Manage playbook features and planogram sets per guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers.
• Support front-end tasks including processing transactions.
• Use office equipment such as telephone, copier, fax, calculator, computer.
• Operate handheld devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders and other retail gear.
• Cross-train for flexibility across departments.
• Engage in training programs and learning initiatives.
• Offer friendly, proactive internal and external support.
• Demonstrate Rural King values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
