Rural King is hiring a Department Lead to help oversee a store department. You will ensure merchandising standards, manage stock levels, and maintain a clean, inviting area for customers. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to deliver friendly service and efficient operations.

You will assist with price changes, cross-train across departments, and support front-end tasks as needed. A proactive, safety-conscious approach is valued in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and attention to detail; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide and maintain displays consistent with company standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and replenish from stockroom/top stock.
• Oversee recovery to keep department neat and inviting for customers.
• Coordinate and execute price changes with relevant teams for accurate signage.
• Manage playbook features and planogram sets per company guidelines to maximize sales.
• Maintain department cleanliness and safety; provide friendly customer service.
• Assist front-end transactions or loadouts as required and operate basic office equipment.
• Utilize handheld devices and retail equipment; participate in cross-training.
• Support learning initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement within the team.
