Job summary

Vanquish Inc. in Columbia, MD is hiring a Hardware Technician Level 1 (IT Field Support Specialist) to install, troubleshoot, and maintain computer hardware across multiple sites. You will perform site surveys, manage installation schedules, and train end users on hardware usage.

Required is a High School diploma or GED with 0–2 years of experience and 8570 Certification; Security+ is a plus. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are also needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 0-2 years of relevant experience and 8570 Certification.
• AA or BS in a technical field may substitute for years of experience.
• Proficiency installing Windows OS, applications, antivirus, and patches.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to assess configurations and user requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues on-site and remotely.
• Document changes with site drawings and maintain cabling and telecom systems.
• Provide end-user training on hardware usage and safety.
