SpaceX is seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability of flight components and production assemblies across design, development, and manufacturing. The role blends hands-on work on the factory floor with data-driven analysis to reduce risk and improve manufacturability.

You will collaborate with design, test and production teams, using structured RCAs, PFMEA and SPC tools to drive reliability improvements and support Lean initiatives in a high-stakes, aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, materials, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering, or engineering physics.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, quality and/or design engineering (internships or student projects qualify).

Responsabilités

• Partner with design, test and manufacturing to ensure Avionics part reliability.
• Track yield, test escapes, and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into NPI.
• Develop and validate lean test and inspection processes for products and processes.
• Monitor product/process success during ramp-up using quality analytics.
• Conduct build quality reviews to ensure design intent and drive improvements in manufacturability.
• Investigate failures in production, test and flight to identify root causes and mitigate risk.
