Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support design engineers with higher reliability for EEE components, avionics, and systems. The role focuses on evaluating quality, addressing failures, and building models to predict wear and reliability across mission life.

You will work with supply chain, design, and production to drive closure. The position requires interpreting reliability data, planning tests, and providing design direction for reliability improvements, with a focus on PCB/PCBA

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of semiconductor, package, and/or PCBA reliability experience.
• 2+ years of reliability modelling methods and statistics to analyze test data.

Responsibilities

• Use reliability physics of failure models and statistics to assess risk and qualify designs.
• Lead reliability test planning, methodology and execution.
• Drive reliability analysis and coordinate investigations to provide corrective actions and closure.
• Build reliability prediction models/FEA to evaluate performance over mission life.
• Interface with supply chain, design, and production teams.
• Evaluate failure analysis and coordinate destructive physical analysis investigations.
• Advise on HALT/HASS testing and PCB reliability for PCBA.
• Execute testing campaigns to assess hardware reliability.
