Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support the design community by assessing the reliability of EEE components, avionics, and systems. You will build FEA models to simulate wearout, perform reliability analyses, and drive cross-functional resolution of failures across supply chain, design, and production.

Responsibilities include leading test planning, analyzing failures, and advising on HALT/HASS testing and PCB design choices to improve mission reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in semiconductor, package, and/or PCBA reliability.
• 2+ years reliability modelling to predict product life and analyze test data.

Responsibilities

• Use reliability physics of failure models and reliability statistics to assess risk and develop accelerated tests.
• Lead reliability test planning, methodology and execution.
• Drive reliability analysis and model implementation to inform electronics design for reliability.
• Interface with supply chain, design, and production for issue resolution.
• Evaluate failure analysis and coordinate investigations for corrective actions.
