Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Build Reliability Engineer to support Falcon/Dragon hardware from design to production. The role spans office, factory floor, and lab work to ensure reliability across flight components and assemblies.

You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, apply Lean tools, and lead investigations to improve manufacturability and reduce non-conformances. This is a hands-on, mission-driven position in Hawthorne, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
• 1+ years in a manufacturing, quality and/or design engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Create quality plans for flight hardware with design and manufacturing teams.
• Develop and validate lean tests and inspection processes.
• Monitor product/process performance during ramp‑up using quality tools.
• Conduct regular build quality reviews to meet design intent and reduce risk.
• Investigate production/test/flight failures to identify root causes.
• Support shop floor in continuous improvement and Lean autonomous production.
