Job summary

Arista Networks seeks a Hardware Quality professional to own product-quality outcomes from design through manufacturing to end-of-life. You will work with Engineering, Failure Analysis, contract manufacturers, and account teams to monitor RMA rates, MTBF, and reliability metrics, and to drive containment and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in high-tech manufacturing, preferably networking equipment.
• Experience with contract manufacturing partners.
• Experience in PCBA manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, and related processes.
• Broad knowledge of test, diagnostics, failure analysis, and debug techniques.
• Foundational knowledge in quality and reliability performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability for hardware quality across the product lifecycle from inception to end-of-life.
• Monitor hardware quality performance, RMAs, MTBF, and reliability metrics.
• Analyze RMA, Failure Analysis, and Repair data; drive resolution and mitigation plans.
• Lead field quality meetings with stakeholders including senior management.
• Oversee FA contract manufacturers' performance and KPI achievement.
• Collaborate with Product, Hardware, and Test Engineers to debug field RMAs.
• Review and approve Failure Analysis results and update cases in support systems.
• Publish external Failure Analysis reports and drive learnings back to Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Support new product setup into Failure Analysis operations and service depots.
