Job summary

Arista Networks in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a Product Quality Engineer to lead critical quality escalations and drive rapid, accountable resolutions across engineering and customer teams.

You will own executive-level reporting, deliver crisp status updates, and perform deep-dive analyses to prevent recurring issues while building trust with clients and maintaining strong knowledge of networking architectures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in high-tech manufacturing, preferably networking equipment.
  • Experience with contract manufacturing partners.
  • Experience in PCBA manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, and related processes.
  • Knowledge of test, diagnostics, failure analysis, and debugging techniques.
  • Understanding of quality and reliability metrics.
  • Ability to balance technical and business aspects of hardware manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in Failure Analysis, Service, and Repair ops beneficial.
  • Ability to analyze data via high-level visual summaries, trends and patterns.

Responsibilities

Who You'll Work With

This position reports to the Product Quality Engineer team within the Engineering organization. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with Engineering, New Product Engineering, Failure Analysis/Repair, Contract Manufacturers, Arista Manufacturing, Account teams, and Arista customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage customer critical quality escalations and drive them to resolution with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Orchestrate collaborative responses across Engineering, Account Management, and Customer Support to deliver rapid, definitive solutions
  • Deliver crisp, actionable status updates and strategic roadmap overviews to both internal leadership and client-side executives
  • Conduct deep-dive assessments of systemic issues—both proactively and reactively following escalations—to prevent recurring friction points
  • Own executive-level reporting and lead high‑stakes calls, translating intricate technical challenges into clear, business-oriented summaries for leadership
  • Actively monitor communication channels and shared aliases to intercept, coordinate, and address emerging issues before they compound
  • Serve as a dedicated internal advocate for the client, ensuring their operational pain points are prioritized throughout the resolution lifecycle
  • Cultivate deep, trust‑based relationships with clients to reinforce their confidence in the organization’s technical capabilities
  • Maintain a robust foundational knowledge of networking architectures and the broader Arista product portfolio, complemented by deep, subject‑matter expertise in a core set of specialized technologies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in high‑tech manufacturing (preferably networking equipment)
  • Experience working with contract manufacturing partners
  • Experience in PCBA manufacturing, electro‑mechanical assembly, and associated processes
  • Broad knowledge of test, diagnostics, failure analysis, and debug techniques
  • Foundational knowledge in quality and reliability performance metrics
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally, including ability to balance the technical and business aspects of hardware manufacturing
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems and supply chain concepts
  • Self‑starter who has the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to influence and motivate internal and external partners
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in Failure Analysis, Service, and Repair Operations a plus
  • Ability to analyze data through high level visual summaries, trends and patterns

Compensation Information

The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $114,000 to $167,000.

Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.

The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US‑based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection.
