Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a seasoned Hardware Engineer to debug and improve state-of-the-art networking hardware. You will work on high-speed boards, verify 50G+ signals, and develop fixes with cross-functional teams.

This role demands strong problem solving in complex environments and collaboration with software, product, and manufacturing teams. Foundational work includes analyzing logs, performing root-cause analysis, and delivering effective solutions with robust validation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• Experience debugging Networking Hardware.
• Experience with designing and debugging 20+ layer boards with 50G+ signals.
• Experience debugging and validating multi-phase DC/DC converters for high current/fast transients.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe) and low-speed signals (I2C, SPI).
• Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity concepts/tools (impedance, PDN, Bode plots).

Responsibilities

• Debug production system problems and deliver root-cause fixes.
• Collaborate with HW design, firmware, BOM, and fab teams.
• Read logs, identify bugs, design fixes with minimal field disruption.
• Develop tests and measurements to prevent recurrence.
• Present root-cause analyses to executives and customers.
