Job summary

AMD is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Verification intern/co-op to join the team and contribute to the design, build, and delivery of high-end Machine Intelligence products. You will work with senior engineers on test plans, verification environments, and system-level validation across hardware and software interfaces.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a United States-based university in a Master’s program in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of C/C++/Python/Perl/Shell/UVM and Verilog/SystemVerilog is desired.
• Strong understanding of digital systems and computer organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to build and complete performance verification test plans and models.
• Write scripts in Perl/Python to track and manage compute resources.
• Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP to support development.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and efficiency.
• Assist debugging and improvement of test cases and Verilog/SystemVerilog code.
• Build test platforms and perform system-level testing.
• Perform production validation of hardware and software functionalities.
• Engage in low-level testing of hardware/software features and identify root causes.
