Job summary

Employee Relations Associates, Inc. is seeking a HAP Accountant in Chandler, AZ, to manage accounting activities related to Housing Assistance Payments. The successful candidate will perform audits, support resident accounts, and ensure compliance with HUD policies.

Responsibilities include providing financial information for tenancy approval, managing Yardi, and communicating with housing partners. Candidates should have accounting experience and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant accounting or property management experience.
• General accounting experience, including AR, AP, journal entries, and ledger reconciliations.
• Knowledge of HUD policies and regulations within a housing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities related to Housing Assistance Payments.
• Provide financial information for Request for Tenancy Approval packets.
• Communicate with property management teams and Housing Authorities to resolve discrepancies.
